Shell not Paying Igbo Speaking Community, Igbo Speaking Community Receives No Compensation from Shell BP and Attitude of Shell to Igbo Host Community In places like Itsekiri, Sapele, Warri, Ijaw, Shell normally pays compensation of what they call -RIGHT OF WAY (ROW) for laying of oil pipelines, annually. Such payments are not made to Igbo People. And for oil spillages, no Igbo speaking community receives any compensation, e.g. The spillage at Isimiri Location of 15 & 16 June 1999 which affected the whole of Ukwa up to Akwete has not be compensated till date. No community development, No road construction, Gas flaring has been going on in this areas since early Sixties. BREAK- DOWN OF OIL PRODUCING COMMUNITIES IMO STATE:

NOTE, Some of the Wellheads, (Oil Wells) at Umuokwor seem to have been abandoned but crude still leaks from them thereby destroying farmlands.
